How to Add/ Change Nominee in SBI Online

SBI is one of the largest public sector bank. State Bank of India has thousands of customers that enjoy its services. Generally, a nominee is registered when bank open account, however you can add nominee in SBI Online via net-banking. Customer can also change/ check nominee name in SBI through Net-banking.

Nominee serves as a guaranter for account and also he/she will be the only person to contact in case of any unfortunate incident. Customers can fill the SBI nominee registration form and submit it at SBI branch offline or add nominee in SBI account online. Here are the steps to add nominee in SBI ppf/ savings account online

SBI Online Nomination Registration

These are the steps by which one can add nominee in SBI via net-banking. To add nominee you should be registered with SBI net-banking and have active registered mobile number

  • Visit the official website of SBI at onlinesbi.com
  • Now enter your username and net-banking password
  • Click on the login button to open your net-banking dashboard
  • Now go to “Request & Enquiries” tab in menu bar and list of options will appear
  • Click on the more menu, and online available services will appear on new page
  • Now click on the link ‘Online Nomination’
  • Your Account in SBI bank will be listed, select the SBI account for which you want to add nominee
  • Now the SBI online nominee registration tab will open
  • Enter the Name and Address of Nominee
  • Enter the bank details, branch name, address of nominee
  • Click on the continue button
  • You will get OTP on your registered mobile number
  • Enter the high security password on next screen and click on confirm button
  • The Nominee will be added successfully

If you want to change the Nominee, then first cancel the already added person from registration form and then add new one by same steps. It is essential to have nominee with your bank account as it allows you to claim the remaining balance in case of unfortunate events.
